Jan Žitka graduated from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Department of Polymers. He conducted his thesis at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where he also pursued doctoral studies. Throughout his professional career, he has specialized in membrane separation processes, focusing on the synthesis of novel polymer materials for membranes. His core expertise lies in polymer synthesis and processing, particularly solution casting techniques.
During his work at the Institute, he focused on ion-exchange membranes, gas separation membranes, and membranes for chiral separations. In collaboration with UCT Prague, he has participated in both national and international research projects.
At TailorMem, Jan is responsible for the technological development of membrane production. As part of the technology incubation, he oversees precursor manufacturing and membrane casting processes.

Václav is an experienced CFO with a strong background in healthcare management, having served as COO and CFO of Sedlčany Hospital and as Deputy Director for Finance and Operations at IKEM Hospital in Prague.
At TailorMem, he is responsible for business development and the successful commercialization of the company’s products. Additionally, he oversees the financial management of the entire project.
