Invest in Europe's self-reliance in critical technologies

TailorMem develops and manufactures next-generation ion-exchange membranes under the Hollex brand — the core component of systems for green hydrogen production, CO₂ capture and conversion, and solid-state electrolytes for lithium batteries. Our chemistry is completely PFAS-free and fluorine-free, built on more than 12 years of development and protected by proprietary know-how.

The membrane is an unassuming yet decisive component. No electrolyser or fuel cell works without it. And it is precisely in these critical components that Europe today depends heavily on imports. That is the market we serve — and the reason we see ourselves as a strategic investment opportunity.

Why now

The market is growing and demand is outpacing supply. Europe’s decarbonisation agenda, its hydrogen strategy, and the push for energy security are creating long-term demand for membrane technologies. At the same time, supply is concentrated among a handful of non-European suppliers — opening clear space for a European manufacturer.

We have a proven technology, not just an idea. We have successfully transferred production from laboratory scale to industrial practice. Thanks to slot-die coating technology and the shift to a continuous roll-to-roll process, we produce membranes 60–100 cm wide with consistent quality, better control of layer thickness and homogeneity, and more efficient use of materials.

We hold a competitive edge that is hard to replicate. The fluorine-free Hollex chemistry delivers exceptional durability and lifespan, meets the growing regulatory pressure to phase out PFAS, and unlocks applications across three fast-growing markets at once: green hydrogen, CO₂ capture, and battery energy storage.

Our technology at a glance

A team bridging science and business

Behind TailorMem stands a team connecting world-class membrane research (with ties to the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences and UCT Prague) with commercial and financial discipline. Our technology development is led by an expert with 16+ years of experience in polymer electrolytes for hydrogen technologies. Financial and commercial management is handled by an experienced CFO with an audit background and the ACCA qualification. We combine deep technological expertise with a realistic view of return and growth.

What we offer investors

We are looking for partners who want to be part of scaling European membrane technology from proven production to full commercial deployment. The investment is directed toward:

  • expanding manufacturing capacity and increasing volumes,
  • accelerating entry into the green hydrogen and battery technology markets,
  • further developing our product portfolio and value chain.
